IronMario Rules
IronMario is a Super Mario 64 challenge created by DGR_Dave that combines extreme randomization with a no-damage rule to test player skill. There are two rulesets: Base and HardCore.
Base Rules
- Collect 70, 100, or 120 stars and defeat Bowser.
- Taking any damage (except from losing air while swimming) results in an immediate reset.
- Levels become permanently locked after entry.
- Caps, Koopa shells, and the owl helper are removed.
- Play from wherever you land — no menu resets.
HardCore Mode
HardCore keeps every Base rule and turns up the difficulty:
- Increased enemy counts throughout levels.
- Enemies move twice as fast, with visual indicators.
- Accelerated oxygen depletion during swimming sections.
- Additional challenge obstacles in every level.
